Terms of use · Updated 25 July 2026
Clear rules for
respectful work.
These terms explain accounts, public content, hiring control, private communication, subscriptions, and acceptable use on RateBoard.
Accepting these terms
By creating an account, purchasing a subscription, or using RateBoard, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy. You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding agreement.
Accounts and accuracy
Provide accurate information, protect your sign-in credentials, and update information that changes. You are responsible for activity through your account. Do not share access unless an explicit team feature permits it.
Jobs, Painboard, and profiles
Post genuine opportunities and needs you have permission to share. Companies are responsible for the accuracy, legality, and availability of listings. Freelancers are responsible for profile and application accuracy.
Free users may create and update profiles. Only eligible active Pro freelancers may publish or unpublish a public profile. RateBoard may enforce plan usage limits shown at purchase.
Applications and hiring control
RateBoard supports discovery and communication but does not employ applicants, act as the hiring company, or guarantee interviews, hiring, payment, or outcomes. The company managing an opportunity controls screening, interviews, decisions, and status updates.
Private communication
Private requests and messages are visible to their participants and authorized RateBoard administrators when reasonably required for support, safety, enforcement, or legal compliance. They are not displayed publicly.
Subscriptions, renewals, and cancellation
Paid plans renew monthly or yearly according to the cadence selected at checkout until cancelled. Pricing, taxes, plan limits, and the next charge are shown before payment. Cancellation stops future renewal; paid access generally continues through the current paid period unless law or an explicit checkout term requires otherwise.
Usage allowances reset monthly and unused allowances do not roll over. Refund eligibility is described on the Billing page.
Acceptable use and moderation
Do not scrape, spam, impersonate, distribute malware, misuse personal information, evade limits, manipulate activity, infringe rights, or use RateBoard unlawfully. We may remove content, limit features, suspend accounts, or terminate access when reasonably necessary.
Ownership, availability, and liability
You retain ownership of your content and grant RateBoard a limited license to host and process it to operate, secure, and promote the service. RateBoard software and branding remain ours.
The service is provided on an as-available basis. To the extent permitted by law, RateBoard is not responsible for user conduct, failed agreements, indirect loss, or decisions based on platform content.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms as RateBoard evolves. Material updates will be communicated appropriately. If you disagree with an update, stop using the service and contact us about closing your account.
